Regardless of what you think, a degenerative disc isn't a music CD that you don't want your kids to listen to.  Rather it is an incredibly painful Mid Back condition that is less fun to deal with than a mini-van full of teenagers listening to the latest song by Lady GaGa.

If you currently suffer from Mid Back problems that are getting you down, both in spirit and in posture, it's time you did something about it.

This area of our site is designed to help you know what to do and how to fix Mid Back pain that could be caused from ruptured or bulging discs or to help you determine if you pulled a major muscle while cleaning your kid's room last weekend.

“ I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism, compassion and knowledge of each of the therapists that have worked with me. I had a very big emergency back surgery 2 1/2 months ago (a 360 Laminectomy, had a fusion of the L4and 5 and a 3inch cyst removed from spinal canal) and it has been a long recovery and still have a way to go to get my strength and mobility back and I feel like I am making my best progress since going to Barkman and Smith. I had inpatient physical Therapy, Rehab at home and now outpatient physical therapy at Barkman and Smith. My daughter and my mother had also been patients and Barkman and Smith Physical Therapy so I was already aware of how good they were and when I needed physical therapy I immediately wanted to go to them. I will gladly recommend Barkman and Smith Physical Therapy to any family and friends in need of physical therapy. ”

“ I was in great pain. My lower back was completely messed up. I went to the HEB Hospital in Bedford to get help but their PT Dept. was a mess and the therapist did not know what she was doing. I left after two sessions.Next, I went to see a chiropractor but he was not able to help me either and after three visits I quit. Then, I went to see Barkman and Smith. I had no hope but Mr. Barkman gave me hope and we started the therapy twice a week for seven weeks. After getting fifteen sessions my pain is gone and I feel brand new. Everybody there was very kind and supportive. They gave me excellent care and I highly recommend them! ”
